Magic "2nd hand" smoke!
In the days before 100% non-smoking flights, it was not uncommon to 
clean 1 full ton of tobacco smoke residue from the air 
conditioning/cleaning systems of a 747 jumbo jet. Absolute maintenance 
nightmare.
