[sdiy] Favourite VCO designs

I'd like to hear peoples opinions/knowledge of what VCO designs are accurate and stable. I'm ready to build my first VCO and I'd like build something that works well the first time. There's plenty of different designs around on the internet but it's hard to tell how good they are...

I'm happy pay for decent quality op amps, matched transistors and tempcos, but only parts that are still readily available. Also I'd prefer if is it wasn't unnecessarily over complicated.

I'll be designing the PCB myself so I just need a schematic for the SAW or TRI core. I can add any waveshapers.
