Hello,
Sorry for the previous test post but this did not get through:
I was looking at the schemo of the Oberheim SEM and, if I did my homework
right, was wondering if a release control pot could be added to the envelope
(schemo file URL below) by removing the anode of D7 from the emitter of Q
26 and putting it on the base of Q 25, then adding a diode with the anode
on the plus side of C 12, then connect the cathode to the wiper of the
release pot, then connect one end of the pot to the collector of Q 28 (where
point "D" is).
This way when the gate is removed, Q 27 turns off and Q 28 turns on
bringing ground to the base of Q 25 which turns it off. Also, a discharge path is
now created through the new release diode and pot.
I just wondered if this was feasible. Thanks
DW
