[sdiy] SEM Envelope Release Control

Hello,

Sorry for the previous test post but this did not get  through:

I was looking at the schemo of the Oberheim SEM and, if I did my homework  
right, was wondering if a release control pot could be added to the envelope 
 (schemo file URL below) by removing the anode of D7 from the emitter of Q 
26 and  putting it on the base of Q 25, then adding a diode with the anode 
on the plus  side of C 12, then connect the cathode to the wiper of the 
release pot,  then connect one end of the pot to the collector of Q 28 (where 
point "D" is).  
This way when the gate is removed, Q 27 turns off and Q 28 turns on  
bringing ground to the base of Q 25 which turns it off. Also, a  discharge path is 
now created through the new release diode and pot.
I just  wondered if this was feasible.  Thanks
