Starting a new list in less time than the admin has to respond to a  
current problem is divisive and possibly more destructive than the  
original troll.

Everyone has different thresholds that define trolling and humor. In- 
turn the universe has provided us with mail clients that can filter by  
subject, sender address and content.

Never once has something been said on SDIY that offended me (mostly  
because it's just words on a screen).

Personally, I'll take responsibility for what I read and filter people  
by email address if they bore or irritate me.

I think this solution is group friendly as it allows each of us to  
kill trolls at our own pain thresholds
(if the list was over-run, then sure a different approach could be  
appropriate).

IMO, Yahoo is not much of an upgrade, it is more of a sideways move  
based on a minor disturbance. It's a lot of energy and hassle to move  
(houses, pets, lists, Etc.).

I am impressed by the passionate list members taking other members  
pain so seriously.
