Hello All,
First off, thanks to Rick for booting the troll. It was an extreme
measure, and it shouldn't have been necessary, but I'm glad it's done.
Secondly, thanks to everyone who expressed condolences and support. I
really appreciate that, and a big part of the reason I like SDIY is
the feeling of community.
Thirdly, I certainly didn't mean to start a sh*tstorm. It was just
that I was at the limit of my patience with "he who will not be named"
anyway, and his callous post about tragic events just tore it for me.
As a Christian, I know the importance of tolerance and 'turning the
other cheek,' but I felt this was one time where I was justified in
drawing a line in the sand and saying that enough was enough. I'm glad
action has been taken, and that I haven't had to leave (even if it was
only as a symbolic gesture).
Fourthly, I've been on SDIY for over ten years now, and this is by far
my favorite place / list to watch and listen to for synth info and
insights. There are always going to be disagreements and disagreeable
people, but I think the underlying spirit of the whole synth building
/ modding hobby has been a nice unifying factor here.
Fifthly, which VCF is the phattest? (ducks)
;)
Tim (is 'fifthly' even a word?) Servo
