Hi!

Agreed and also joined the new group!  
As user, moderator and co-moderator of Yahoo groups I can say that I am happy 
with these moderated groups as the moderators can block these *$§*$ spammers...
And the moderating effort is not that much...

But be sure to have at least one or two qualified co-moderators as otherwise it is difficult to manage
The group if something happens (holiday, illness, dead,... of the moderator(s)).

If you don't like the graphic loaded webinterface just do it via email like on the SDIY list - its no problem.

I normally also use only the email version except for the moderating tasks that have to be done on the webinterface.

I find this a very good idea and a much better solution. I can have  
daily digests or emails set . Or turn them completely off. I can  
change my email address and security is much better than our old list  
where everybody could spam your email address.
I have joined this new list because it's a positive progress and the  
new owner can block people that are not behaving .
