Here is an email I have sent out just minutes after Samppa posted his
mental diarrhea. I've sent it to Tom W, thinking he's the/an admin
here; he has in the meantime told me Rick's email address which is
added to bcc, but I think the gist expresses my thoughts.

Tim, first of all, know that we're all with you and anyone feeling
otherwise about this situation is not in his right mind.

Here's a little background story to Samppa which I've watched develop
over the last.. maybe decade. I participate in quite a few online
forums, since I travel a lot and that's one way to keep in touch with
my hobbies.

I've first found Samppa on the internet under the nickname of Moebius,
on the ucapps.de (Midibox) forums. He was helping out people and stuff
just your normal, and quite helpful, person. Adding a genuine
contribution to the community he's in. That was maybe 5-7 years ago? I
don't remember; a long, long time ago. At some point I sort of drifted
away from the forums.

The next meeting was a year or two later. At that point I was quite
the participant to IRC and have found out that there's a #midibox chat
room on EFNet. So I joined in and hung around; I noticed Moebius
there, not really remembering him but the nickname rang a bell. The
chatroom was quite abandoned. I was soon to find out why: he was
turning it into his personal place of abuse.

At some point later that year or next year I started getting off-list
emails with insults from Samppa. I didn't know who that was. I asked
around and it turns out it was Moebius. Here's the gist of the
conversation I had:
-- Samppa was already at that point a convicted troll in multiple
chatrooms and groups on the internet.
-- At some point he lost it and started trolling the ucapps forums.
Really bad. Everyone was surprised how he turned in just a short
period of time. Rumors of a personal loss, etc.

So here we have it: he's a wackjob, and an aggressive one. A complete
lunatic destructive to anything around him. And that's the state 5
years ago; he hasn't changed since. Can synth-diy please get on with
the program?

You might think we should be sorry for Samppa. No. This is wrong.
We're not a group hug. We're not a psychiatry commando trying to
liberate the lost against their will. I could have felt sorry for
Samppa the day he started having his problems. I could have felt sorry
for him a year later if he was trying to fix his issues. But I don't
feel sorry for someone who let go of the line and *decided* to fall
off the deep end, unloading his problems by hurting others. People
like him need to be annihilated, there's not even a reason to try to
help him.

He's an idiot who goes to any and all audio-related forums and does
the same thing.

In medieval times you would take people like him, tie them against the
wall somewhere, and keep him there for a few days so that people can
throw rotten meat, sticks and stones at him. We can't do that here,
but we can deface him in another way.

My suggestion is to not only get rid of him here at Synth-DIY, but
also that anyone who sees this post reposts it into all the forums
they're on, as a warning. This way we won't have to see him ever
again, and he can die under his rock, on his own.

D.
