If he finds us elsewhere we can boot him off, _if_ the list is actually
moderated.

I'm wondering the same thing. IMHO it's been well established--even before
this incident--that it represents a net loss to the members of this list to
allow the individual under discussion to continue to post to this list. If
the current moderator of this list is unwilling to acknowledge this and act
accordingly, then I suggest taking one of two courses of action: 1) one or
more individuals take it upon themselves to establish and moderate a new
list at e.g. Yahoo Groups or wherever, and we all unsub from this list and
move to that list, 2) we move en masse to the electro-music.com forums.
Client-side email filtering is really only a partial solution, as others
have mentioned, unless we can all agree to never respond to the troll's
bait.
Personally, my plan is to wait about 24 hours for the moderator of this list
to respond to us, and then I'll unsub if we haven't received a response. If
the moderator of this list has no interest in banning people who are
repeatedly and blatantly disrespectful and disruptive, then I have no
further interest in taking part. I mean, really, what's the point of a
moderated list if nobody is actually doing the moderation?
Tim, I'm very sorry for your loss.
