Sad news: Three of Tim's Tesla co-workers died in a plane crash, yesterday:

Tesla is not a small firm (over 500 employees, according to the 
Wikipedia), but I'm sure this sends a shock wave through the company, 
and it's quite likely that Tim knew some or all of the victims.
