Good logic, on occasion I have blown a day away getting the replacement code
into a lib.
The up side is that anyone who wants to use your code will have no problems
jacking with their libraries either.

I was in a hurry to get this working and didn't feel like hunting through
the MCHP C library code (not even sure the source is available, nor how to
rebuild it) to figure out how to redirect it to my UART. Notice I built up
an alternate printf() too. Comes down to time - spend a few hours
reverse-engineering their stuff, or 5 minutes writing my own.
