Ah, OK, understood.  Yes, the FM business is a bit hard to get one's head 
around at first.  The main idea is that the input to the integrator is the 
rate of change of the phase angle, ie the instantaneous frequency.  This in 
turn is a DC plus AC signal.  So the signal is (assuming Sin waves) is 
something like

Sin[ DC . t +  Integral(AC)] =
Sin[w_0 . t  +  m Cos(w_m . t)]

This is just the usual FM equation from signal theory.
