Hi Csaba,
This is the second audio FPGA board I've done in the last year. The
earlier one was based on an ARM processor with USB and MIDI I/O and is
documented here:

The 45degree part in the upper right-hand corner of the board is an SRAM
that's used for delay effects.
There are a few differences in goals between that board and the current one:
* try SD card access from a dsPIC (works pretty well)
* try out the newer Spartan 3A parts (only need two supplies)
* focus on CV input instead of USB / MIDI
* smaller overall footprint - 3x3" instead of 3x4"
* try wavetable from Flash memory.
and a few other things. Basic idea though is something that would fit
into a modular synth with CVs instead of buttons/LCDs & MIDI. It's
working out so far - hope to get the wavetable ideas going soon.
As far as future plans: This 3x3 board is almost exactly the same size
as a Beagle Board:

Perhaps my next project will involve a daughter card for a Beagle with
FPGA, audio, CV and possibly even RF interfaces. Nothing's sure at this
point though - have to finish the current one first...
