When I find it, I'm going to scan a schematic for a noise source that used a
germanium transistor in avalanche mode instead of the normal silicon
transistor. It's in an article about recording "ghost voices", but I thought
it might be a cool noise source to go along with pink and white noise
generators. I haven't heard what it sounds like, but it's described as
"sputtery". Might be cool to go with S/H units. I think I promised this a
long time ago, but I couldn't find the magazine. Now I just have to scan
it.
