I have a PDF of this whole article from Radio Electronics from way back in 
the 80's all about BBD's. It's a cool overview. It even shows how to wire up 
an R5106 for those of you who have this cousin of the SAD512D whose 
datasheet is pretty much nonexistent (the Reticon R5106 not the SAD512D). 
Only complaint is the misuse of the word "phaser" in terms of a BBD circuit.

If anyone wants a copy, just email me. It's over 4Megs so I didn't want to 
send it to everybody and I don't have a web site set up for people to come 
download things. (Well, I do, but I haven't maintained it and I forgot the 
password etc. etc...).
