Howdy,
With my Multi-Trac, T-8, and 2 Yamha CX5Ms, I turned them on after long storage in extreme temperatures. When turned on they would be all wacky or not work at all. I'd leave them on for a few hours, turn them off. After a day or 2, turn them back on, leave on for a few hours or a couple days. Turn off and leave them to set for a day or 2. Turn them on and things would start working. Repeating this cycle over several weeks eventually brought them back to full funtionality. I don't know how. Note that each machine was done at different times, i.e. a year or 2 apart. I think tht the semiconductor junctions just have to be "exercised" or something. It's weird but it is true.
