Hi all,
The last few days I've finally got maxima working on my Mac,
including gnuplot. While I've used it in the past for designing
filters, now that I have it at home it has been really useful for
crunching numbers while working on some op-amp circuits. So I
thought I'd share this with the you in case you haven't heard or
tried it yet.

(For OSX fans, you'll need AquaTerm installed first, then gnuplot
4.0.0. Note that if you install AquaTerm 1.0.1 you'll need to add a
symbolic link to point a 1.0.0 lib to the 1.0.1 lib otherwise gnuplot
will whine.)
There's a fancy frontend written in WxWidgets called WxMaxima. If
you like that kind of thing.
On Windows there are ready-to-go installers. And it should also be
available on most Linuxes.
Cheers,
Neil
