Its hard to use the raw speed of the unit as to move data between cogs you
have to cross the hub which incurs a pretty hefty delay. If you have
several small routines that can run in seperate cogs and dont have to speak
to each other its better. For raw power I've gone ARM. Lots of tools
available now and horsepower is readily available.
I still have my propeller stuff I just havent found a good application for
it that wasn't easier to deploy using more traditional CPUs.
As a side note, I love the ADUC cpus from Analog Devices... Keep hoping
they'll rev the core but even with ARM7 they are very nifty.
