I should have mentioned it in the original post, but the wall wart power supply is fine.
It boots up my other korg poly 800s without issue....
That's the first thing to check though I agree!
Its something with this particular unit....
So the wall wart gives out the proper ~9~12V into the board DC jack.
From the schemos, I see that the batteries are connect to CN9A on the board (klm 598) (which work fine, getting the right voltage here)
From the DC jack input, The ground goes to...well, ground (looks like its tied into the battery HOT & GND then goes to GND via a black wire to KLM-597-b (of which I must mention there are two of! LOL)
The HOT pin of the DC jack goes to CN6A on the main board (KLM-596-4)
From CN6A pin 11 i DO get a voltage reading, which then goes to something called the "power switch" on the diagram.
Visually inspecting, pins 10 and 11 on CN6A on the main board go to the connector CN6B on another board (KLM -598-2)
In fact, ALL pings form CN6A go to CN6B.
Does anyone see where on the schemos KLM-598-2 is located?
The power switch is connected to this board via the CN7B to the board connector CN7A on the OTHER KLM-597-b (its the board that hold only the CN7A connector and the power potentiometer.
Can anyone verify this for me if you have some time to squint over some schematics?! Xp
I am gonna take reading at all the connector till I "lose" the voltage, then we'll see!
Thanks for the any tips and advice!
Cheers,
Nate
