Don't forget 32MHz RISC (1 clock per instruction), DMA, lots of timers and 
uarts. Very powerful embedded processor. I'm developing with it right now. It is 
a little different than previous AVR processors, with a bit of a learning curve, 
but really worth it.

Well, since Arduino is AVR, the new XMEGA series is pretty cool -
