[sdiy] Multimeter advice?

Thanks, nothing wrong with 'cheap', in tools or anywhere else -
it's a matter of whether things are up to the job.
In fact, the only "high end" tool I have is a CK snipe nose pliers
that I use for bending & inserting through-hole components.
I don't know where they came from, and I was gobsmacked when I checked
the price - I'd hate to be without them!
