I use Lazertran INKJET paper with HP300 inkjet cartridges, a half-hour
drying time before soaking the paper.
The water-slide transfer is easy to handle (but heavy ink lines can tend
to smudge if you rub them) and will slide for a couple of minutes.
The transfer dries with a milky paper colour (several hours), but goes
transparent with a coat of acrylic varnish - I use stuff from the local
auto factors.
I guess for us the surface will always be flat but their demo CD shows
all sorts of surface shapes being covered.
