Actually, jvastine may have a point. I have heard claims that at least 
one oil product, although not snake oil, has a distinct impact on the 
perception and clarity of audio. Sadly, published research appears to 
be thin on the ground, due to the substance being highly illegal in 
most countries.
Perhaps a list member from the Netherlands would like to remedy this, 
and research the effect Nepalese hash oil has on the perception of 
audio.

A new unit of measurement would need to be established - the degree of 
induced meditation perhaps being measured in MegaOms....
