Presuming the schmitt trigger is outputting 12V, then voltage dividers are
probably your cheapest and best bet.

For 10V, you could do the following:

40106 (12V) --- 10k -----> 10V here (actually 10.03V)
                      |
                      |
                     51k
                      |
                      |
                     GND

For 5V, you could do the following:

40106 (12V) --- 36k -----> 5V here (actually 5.14V)
                      |
                      |
                     27k
                      |
                      |
                     GND

Either of these would only shunt about 0.2mA to ground when the schmitt
trigger is on.
