[sdiy] Touchpad as CV controller

  Hi folks,

Inspired by a demo video of the Korg Electribe EMX-1, I was thinking 
about the ribbon controller thing. I have a number of used notebook 
touchpads lying around and was thinking about building a CV controller 
using one of these. Idea is to give trig/gate outputs when the touchpad 
is, well, touched, and X and Y information would translate as CV Outs, 
with additional potentiometers for Offset and Scale.
Googling around was of not much help, so I was wondering if anyone tried 
such a thing, or has any hints on what could be done to have this 
controller built and working.
