I'm so bummed out that I had to miss Quintron in Houston a few weeks back. And I 
would love to own one of those drum buddies, but they seem quite limited run. I 
would love to convert my Vestax PDX-d3 turntable to some variation of it. How 
hard would it be to rig up something optical to modulate a MOTM, dotcom or JH 
oscillator? Would I even need to mod the turntable. Perhaps I could build a case 
and house the oscillator 5U modules, sort of like a DJ coffin...
