Oh, yes, definitely we should have a ring modulator/amplitude modulator in there.

Handy for waveform/oscillator mixing. Can we get filter pole mixing too? (Probably best with linearised VCAs)
What about an interpolating scanner, or voltage-controlled waveshapers? If the book's going to be a success, it needs a few unusual things too.

That's actually a pretty tricky one, because the exponential response of the SSM2164 VCAs is exactly the wrong way around for that application. I've done it in software, and I wouldn't particularly like to try it in hardware - although I know it can be done.
