OK!  I wasn't thinking of a VC LFO, but what the heck?

Yes.  The "2164 Multiplying Modulator", my fancy variable-quadrant ring
modulator -- although, whether it is "unmissable" is debatable.

And, of course, a stereo mixer/panner (something the chip was actually
intended to be used for by its inventors).

We should have a little contest to come up with as many 2164-based module
ideas as we can, and then I can write about them.

One thing I'd definitely like to write about is how to convert filter
designs based on other circuit elements to 2164-based filters -- that's a
favorite topic of mine at the moment, and very useful to know.
