[sdiy] re; injustice put to good use

About five years back I was offered a Thomas tonewheel organ, but before
the message reached me, someone I know through work had claimed it.
I told him (the new owner) that it was a real find at that price (free)
and he soon had it cleaned up and working in his garage.
I heard a couple of years later that he wanted the garage space back so
it had gone to landfill :-(
I may have suggested a few new names for him at the time.

I guess the moral of the story is:-
Even if an old organ gets dissected for bits, it has to be better than
wholesale disposal!

	Alan (still harbouring a grudge)

| Howdy,
|
| A couple years back someone was giving away a Lowrey Genie organ. It
is
| about the 2nd or 3rd from the top of their models back then. I went
and
| got it for the following; Leslie speaker, Drum machine to configure
for
| manual triggering for drums ala Kratwerk,(possible midi control if I
can
| figure out how to do that), a chorus, a couple other items that I
don't
| recall right now. I haven't taken anything apart yet, but someday.
| Unfortunately, there are no top octave generator chips in it.
