Olimex has the LPC-H2888 if you want to go ARM with a self-contained system 
(16bit stereo AD/DA, highspeed USB, SD/MMC-controller, loads of RAM and 
Flash - both internal and external).  This chip is meant for portable MP3 
players.  You will need a baseboard or something to access most peripherals.  
The LPC-H3131 will have connectors on board and pack more oomph (ARM9, 
apparently w/ Linux) whenever they finish it.
