Well......screw me!

I use a much more expensive one (590U, which is now called the 500P):

but if you are looking at mostly/just EPROMS the $129 USB one from Canada
looks like a better deal.

The only annoying thing about the Xelteks is no support for the dsPIC30 
families.
I use the in-circuit programmer for that.
