Just picked up some very nice circuit boards from local board shop
http://www.circuit-spec.com
The price was extremely good. It was a 9x12" board with 10 individual
designs panelized.
The total was $500 CND for 10 sets which works out to $5 a board.
They were mostly routed off with some of the smaller boards tabbed.
Finish was HASL with green solder mask, thru-hole plating double sided,
silkscreen on one size.
One of the boards used 8x8mil track space/width and had 15mil
vias..no problems so far.
There was also no apparent cost penalty as a result of panelizing.
I had a quote from a second local shop that has boards made in China
and the cost was $800..go figure.
The cost for the same boards from Silverline would be probably around $1600.
Give these guys a call if you need more than just one off prototypes.
They have been hit hard by offshore competition so I would like to
see them get more work and stay in business.
