For those of you interested in the digital side of things, I came across
this recently released part:

The CS4354 is a follow-on part to the CS4334 and CS4344 stereo audio
DACs which I've used effectively in a number of past projects. This one
has a nifty new feature that allows it to output DC-coupled signals that
are 0V offset by means of an on-chip negative supply. This translates
into excellent low-frequency response and makes it useful for LFO
applications.
Looks like these parts are available and reasonably priced - Digi-Key
has them for $3.22/qty 1.
