I don't know whether they are clones, or actual SSM2164s which have been
dismantled, de-leaded to comply with RoHS, and repackaged.  The Coolaudio
website is not clear on this point.  They do offer a de-leading service for
ICs, but I'm not sure if they are applying it in this case, or building the
chips from scratch.

In any case, mine have all worked exactly as advertised, and the datasheet
specs are identical.
