It's a concern, but the RC of the filter is pretty small.  The transient has
a frequency on the order of MHz, so the cutoff frequency can be well above
the audio range.

Of course, these things do have a tendency come bite one in the backside,
especially if that one is me, so I'll have to keep you posted.
