I do have a copy of the IC Op-Amp Cookbook, 1st ed. (picked up for $9 at
Powell's Technical Bookstore in the beautiful Pearl District of Portland,
Oregon, and previously owned by a fellow named, simply, "Kitaji" -- thanks,
Kitaji, wherever you are!), and it goes into great detail about precision
diodes on page 185, and half-wave rectifiers on page 190.  

All of the half-wave rectifiers are inverting.

The precision diode suffers from slew-rate limitations because it slams to
the opposite rail when the diode is not conducting, and must slam back again
when the diode begins to conduct.  Of course, TL07x has a slew rate of
13V/us, so it should slam back in about 1 us, which shouldn't add
significant distortion to any wave in the audio range.  However, a Multisim
simulation shows noticable distortion in rectified sine waves above about
1kHz.  The inverting half-wave rectifier shows no distortion at all, of
course.
