Which was sold under the Timex brand in the US, probably explaining the
confusion...
The TI99/4a was probably most famous for the the add-on Speech Synthesizer,
which gave you all the unintelligible power of a speak and spell to say rude
words, assuming you had the right cartridge to drive it.
The TI itself is crippled as a computer by the fact that all the RAM is
attached to the video controller, and the only way for the CPU to access
anything more than its 256 byte scratchpad RAM is via the video chip.
The Delorean-style case is pretty cool tho'.
