Thankfully that's not true - if you look at the MW modular forum a LOT
of these people are knowledgable noise people who moved up from the
"Atari Punk Console" 556 crap to more sensible equipment.
- and those that don't want to learn don't, as it has always been of
course, hehe.
What *is* clever is trying to *bridge* that gap - making modular
equipment that appeals to the low-brow noise fiends; modularized and
panelized bent stuff is something I'd like to see happen on a proper scale.
