Hi folks,
This is a non-sequitor comment to all of us who enjoy Audio, Synths and
Music. (beer too).
I really enjoy the camaraderie and info so many of you guys put up on this
mailer.
I eagerly look for new ideas and comments from all of you and I hope we can
learn from each other all along the way.
I have over 30 years of design experience and I really enjoy sharing some of
this with you guys.
Csaba Zvekan and Paul Maddox and a few others have convinced me to keep
going and bring out all of my old relics from the analog days of synths.
This I hope to do and I wish we could go to a Wiki for of web page so we
could organize pictures, code, tools, blogs etc all in one central spot.
I have been practicing with my scanner on the old e-mu schematics and many
folks have expressed interest in these old systems. To be honest this is a
huge task as I have a complete archive of this stuff and it is hard to scan
blue print material into any readable form.
So I will undertake the task of converting to a real schematic tool and pcb
design platform to resurrect these old designs.
Mind you some of the components are getting scarce and I may have to
re-design some of these old modules. Fortunately I have most of these old
e-mu modules I can compare against and listen to.
Another project I am working on is an i.MX35 with DSP56721 all on a single
board called Chord II. I have a Linux BSP up and running on this board and I
am planning to do another spin of boards for for errata clean up.
This is a complete system that can support Ethernet, rs-232, SD Memory ,
USB, LCD Touch screen S/PDIF Rx/Tx, ASRC, Multichannel Audio I/O and so on.
I don't know when I can push it out to final production, but I am hoping by
next summer if my finances hold out.
If there is interest in any of this rambling , please say so or I will just
be quiet and keep on working.
Feedback is important to me and I need some feedback from all walks of life.
Regards,
Terry
