In a fit of boredom I've been making a midi "synth" using an AY-3-8913 and
the Arduino based board I made up.  It sounds about like an 80's pinball
machine or arcade game, but worse right now.

The hardest part sofar has been writing the perl script to generate the
chromatic scale and turn it into register values for the lookup table...
they really never intended perl for math...
