I would say DEFINITELY select a design that has:
as much voltage control over its stages as possible;
the ability to loop;
bonus is endOfAttack/Decay/Release gate outs.
I *really* like the Buchla 281 clones that were available on the
electro-music forum, and I suspect the Music Easel ones offer the same
level of flexibility. What I like about them is especially their aSr
configuration, where you get a sustain stage as well, while retaining
some of that loopy, wobbly character.
So yeah... the more control it offers the better.
- oh, and do multiple on one panel. You'll want that down the line too.
