[sdiy] Fairchild uA726

I've just picked up 3 uA776HC's from a company called utsource
(http://www.utsource.net) at $5.00 each, amongst a collection of chips I
want for some other projects (TDA1022, MN3005, SSM2210, etc.)
I'm planning to build some of the Elektor Formant oscillators in the future,
re-drafting the PCB so that I can fit them behind a 5U panel for my MOTM
style synth, so when I was quoted this price I jumped at them.
I've not had a chance to test them as yet, so I can't guarantee that they
are the 'real deal', but the other chips I've received look to be quite good
and I'll be testing some of these in the very near future.
Regards
Mike Gorman

Ah, well, that's too bad. I guess analog synth applications just don't
figure in chip manufacturer's market decisions. Thanks to everyone for
their replies.
