Coincidentally, I was sitting in bed this morning leafing through old 
(obviously) issues of Polyphony. There was a DIY article that called 
for an SSM2040, and I -- I swear! -- wondered if it wouldn't be 
possible to make an equivalent device using SMT. It's as though I had 
a dream and woke up to learn that it was reality. <G>
