[sdiy] Clearcoating PC boards

I'm just wondering, does anyone spray clearcoat on the copper side of their
finished PC boards to protect the copper (as opposed to tinning or proper
solder masking)? Would this be deleterious for any reason?
BTW, not much [sdiy] action lately. What's going on? I, for one, have been
way too busy to build that 2164-Expo VCO, or test out that "all-purpose"
4-pole LP filter I've been dreaming about, or put my keyboards in cabinets,
or lay out my sequencer boards (although I just soldered up another revision
of my 2164-based 2Q-4Q ring modulator). What's everybody elses excuse?
