[sdiy] Frequency Counter advice...

See if you can find a Fluke/Philips PM6666 used on eBay. These are
*wonderful* counters, they are called "reciprocal counters" because they
measure period, *not* frequency. An internal 68020 CPU then displays the
frequency. I can measure audio to 0.0001Hz accuracy at 100 readings a second
:) But it will still count up to like 160MHz.

And, it's 2 channels, so it can do stuff like show the *diference* between 2
frequencies. Lastly, has all sorts of cute "math" functions, like show the
highest/lowest frequency since resetting, logging frequencies over time, etc
etc etc. Another cute feature: it can count "single events" like pulses
(useful for things like "did my argeggiator really output 16 triggers?").

Simply the BEST audio frequency counter ever made.

/only uses the best stuff, else why bother??
