Hi Damian,
Not sure I have a "Topic" list as of yet.
I would be great to have a SDIY event like this in the USA.
Paul Maddox has been very active with his SDIY arena in the UK.
If we could organize one in the USA, I could probably get a pretty decent
rate for Conference room at a Marriott Property in the Los Angeles area. My
daughter works for Marriott and usually can recommend a cool spot for us
use.
If we had a bit more organization on who is subscribing to SDIY , then we
could see about getting a few locations proposed for an annual event.
Project BBQ has been going on for some years and is about $2,000.00
USDollars plus airfare.
I can go to the UK for much cheaper and support SDIY in the UK with Paul for
much less.
Still, money being always a bit elusive, I propose we see what the interest
level is.
Perhaps around the NAMM show time frame as an alternative. We could set up a
Group Membership for the NAMM event and see the commercially available
products. I live about 14 miles from Anaheim Convention Centre and usually
go every year.
The Membership issue is getting to be a bear as they are really checking
credentials these days and it is not open to the public.
Let's see what other folks have to say.
I would love to have a chance to meet many of you folks.
Regards,
Terry
