[sdiy] Eu might be banning Vactrols and LDRs??

I use vactrols and LDR's  A LOT.

when i want a simple, effective, low parts count VCA for a simple box, or a tremelo(nothing is easier for a tremolo than a vactrol I found out recently),  or heck, even if i want to use them to recreate

classic compressors (OPTO Compressors)
they are great for making NON VC filters into VC


not only that, LDR's are fun!


also...MANY scheamtics from classic effects, synths, etc have vactrols in them

(even bergfotron's new bandpass filter has a few of em)


i have used them in  many boxes to add a cool effect that reacts to LIGHT


and now that they are going to be banned in the EU, I feel like I am thinking of even more ways to use them.
