Yeah, cadmium and lead are very bad... IF YOU EAT THEM!  Plus, these
components only pose a threat when they are discarded en masse, and that's
easy enough to control at the source (like pop bottles or tires, simply
charge a deposit which is returned when the e-waste is brought to an
approved recycling facility, where it can be safely neutralized and disposed
of... don't ban the bloody parts!!!)

Why is everybody in the world so damned stupid?  Maybe it's my midlife
crisis, but I'm really getting sick of all the stupidity.  The health care
farce in the States this summer just about pushed me over the edge.  Thank
God I live in Canada!
