[sdiy] simple saw or sine osc?

Got It!
<<2 midi note-on messages, do the a+b, a-b trip,
and output 2 new midi-on messages.>>

Same trick but use two 1V/O control voltages and the total and difference
routed to 4 VCOs..

That works since the notes already have the exponential relationship.

The draw back other than the hardware would be it lacks any way to deviate
from standard tuning to get a smooth frequency slope. There Might be a way
to use the Pitch Bend message to make this happen.

A neat idea that could yield some interesting effects.
I was thinking more of an analog equivalent to this scheme but the Midi
approach is useful in its own right and give a conceptual model of what
would need to happen to build an analog version.

Interesting. One could pull that off with some specialized gear. The
quickest way would be to take 2 midi note-on messages, do the a+b, a-b trip,
and output 2 new midi-on messages.

What would that sound like? Would that be useful?
