Heat does not equal temperature. Heat ('wattage') is the *capacity* to 
deliver a certain temperature based on the conditions (area, ambient 
temperature, etc).

Errr...no. The wattage of the *soldering iron* is 42W. 60W is the AC power 
requirement.
