[sdiy] DX7 reset routines..anyone recall an older version?

I'm coming up empty.  I have one that does the random note play. I got 
the 'function'/16/32 key hold routine to finally kick in and give me the 
diagnostics.  However no matter what way I hold Edit/16/32 I can't get 
anything to happen towards a reset. If I just..pull the battery that'll 
just scramble the data for sure as I recall.  I've seen this before but 
it might have been on an E! machine like mine probably where there's a 
more soft reset option as I recall.  But anyway if anyone recalls an 
early version maybe where something else was done.  Also it says master 
tune on function 1 but I don't see any way to alter anything 
there..maybe that's a clue.  I don't recall that strangeness. Shouldn't 
there be a number there you can edit?  -Bob
